A Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization establishes national standards for health care quality and safety. ECG Scanning & Medical Services, Inc. earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval TM in 2003 and continues to meet those standards today.

“Achieving accreditation demonstrates ECG Scanning & Medical Services, Inc. has voluntarily sought an independent evaluation of its compliance with state-of-the-art performance standards,” said Michael Kulczycki, Executive Director, Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program, Joint Commission.

“We seek accreditation for our organization because we want to be the best,” said John Nasuti, Chief Executive Officer. “We view obtaining Joint Commission accreditation as another step toward our continued efforts to provide high quality and dependable cardiac services.”

“Our staff is very supportive of the process. It gives them a feeling of prestige to work in an accredited organization,” said Joseph MacLean, Chief Operating Officer. “They also appreciate the educational aspect of the survey and the opportunity to interact with the Joint Commission. Meeting the standards and achieving excellence is a continuous process. No matter how well we did today, we continue to strive to do better tomorrow."

An independent, not- for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the predominant standards setting and accrediting body in health care. Since 1975, the Joint Commission has developed state-of-the-art standards for outpatient ambulatory care organizations. More than 1,200 freestanding ambulatory care organizations maintain Joint Commission accreditation.

ECG Scanning & Medical Services, Inc. is one of only three cardiac monitoring companies to be awarded accreditation from the Joint Commission. ECG Scanning provides 24 hour attended cardiac event, Holter and pacemaker monitoring services, 365 days a year, and has been serving healthcare providers since 1986.
